She is comfortable working with children of all ages and abilities, but some areas of expertise include:

  • developmental delays

  • receptive and expressive language impairments

  • articulation impairments

  • phonological processes

  • childhood apraxia of speech

  • autism and Gestalt language processors

  • stuttering

As a Filipino-American daughter of immigrants, Johanna is very passionate about providing culturally and linguistically competent care to families of all backgrounds. When evaluating and treating children, she is sensitive to and knowledgeable about dialectal and linguistic differences and gladly welcomes family input when considering therapy strategies. She looks forward to being an advocate for your child and helping them become the best versions of themselves they can be!

Johanna maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), as well as state licensure to work as a speech-language pathologist.

On starting Babble Speech Therapy:

“While working at schools, I frequently had parents ask me for suggestions on outside therapy for after school and over the summer. After inquiring at various locations, they would often be hit with multiple month-long wait lists. Once they finally did get on a caseload, they then had to organize their busy schedules around bringing their child into the clinic every week. I started Babble Speech Therapy because I wanted to make therapy more accessible and easier for families who want to support their children’s speech and language development. Some ways that I try to do this include offering virtual and in-home services, pay-as-you-go sessions, and flexible scheduling.”
